The emerging science of telomere biology is changing the way we look at aging*. Telomeres are DNA repeats located at the ends of all chromosomes. They serve as caps that protect our genes. Each time a cell divides, the telomeres grow shorter and shorter. Once telomeres become too short, a cell can no longer divide.

However, there is a natural enzyme called telomerase which can help maintain telomere length. In 2001, California bio-tech company Geron, made a paradigm-shifting discovery. They discovered TA-65™, a single molecule that activates telomerase. In 2002 T.A. Sciences licensed TA-65™ from Geron.
