The Last Samurai: Why I love Japanese culture

The night before the final battle where almost all of them is going to die.

A child said to captain Nathan Algren "I would be afraid to die in battle."

"So would I". replied Nathan.

"But you have been in many battles."

"And I was always afraid" Nathan said.

Yes, a seasoned soldier was always worried to go on battles, but always kept fighting to an end. It is not something like "No, I am powerful, and I will win, boy" :-)

It is so deep, and so touching. It makes a hero so human.

In business, we are always worried, we are always vigilant and careful, but we always keep going.
