I bought this movie back in 2009 at a DVD shop, just because it has many of my favorite actors & actresses: Sean Penn, Jude Law, Anthony Hopkins and Kate Winslet. The cover did not look fascinating to me at all. But when I actually watched it, I could not helped feeling deeply impressed about the powerful story it told. Simply amazing.

I love this movie. Not because it is among very few movies that Tom Cruise acted pretty cool. Not because it is a very entertaining movie with great martial arts. It is because it told a beautiful story about Japanese spirit. And about the Way of a warrior. Bushido.
